It is with regret that the Durham Philharmonic Choir must postpone/reschedule the upcoming February 26, 2011 program. This is a result of several factors including scheduling conflicts, financial obligations, and a resulting significant financial shortfall if we were to proceed. We will continue as usual in preparing for our always popular Good Friday concert with orchestra. Subscribers will be contacted and offered options for replacement tickets/reimbursement. |

Hebron Christian Reformed Church - Whitby
The DPC combines two dramatic works into one performance with John Rutter’s highly amusing and entertaining setting of Kenneth Grahame’s classic tale ‘The Wind in the Willows’ – scored for choir, chamber orchestra, solo and speaking roles. Also on the program is the newly composed ‘Missa Gaia’ (Earth Mass) which is an eclectic mix of musical styles celebrating the earth as a whole and incorporating instruments along with recorded sounds of several unique animals from land and sea. (Tickets $30)
